At Serve Robotics, your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Notice explains how we collect, use, and share personal information in our various business operations.

Understanding Our Different Roles

Serve Robotics operates in two distinct capacities when it comes to personal information:

    As a Service Provider/Processor Serve Robotics acts as a “Service Provider” or “Data Processor” when providing delivery services through integrations with delivery partner platforms (such as Uber Eats, DoorDash, and other delivery apps) and Serve Robotics delivery platform and robot fleet. Serve Robotics will process personal information if instructed to do so to fulfill our contractual obligations on behalf of our delivery partner agreements. In these situations, the partner company is the “Data Controller.”

    As a Data Controller Serve Robotics acts as the “Data Controller” when you interact with the Serve Robotics’ website, contact us directly, participate in our hiring process, or when our platform or delivery robots collect environmental data as part of operations and delivery.

When We Act as a Service Provider

Delivery Services Through Partner Platforms
When you place an order through a delivery partner platform that uses our robot delivery services, we process your delivery information solely to fulfill our obligation as the delivery service provider. In these situations we may process the following information related to your delivery request:
  • Contact Information such as first and last name, email, phone number.
  • Merchant Address
  • Delivery Address
  • Order Details
  • Geolocation
The delivery partner company (such as Uber Eats, DoorDash, and others are responsible for determining how your personal information is collected, used, and shared.
For privacy inquiries related to your delivery orders, please contact the delivery partner company directly through their customer service channels.
  • We process your information only as instructed by the delivery partner company and in accordance with our contractual agreements with them.
  • We do not use your delivery information for our own marketing or other purposes beyond completing the delivery service.

When We Act as a Data Controller

We act as the data controller for the following activities:

1. Website and Marketing Interactions

When you visit our website at serverobotics.com, engage with our marketing operations, or contact us directly.

3. Robot Environmental Data Collection

Our autonomous delivery robots collect environmental data during their operations for safety, security, and operational and commercial purposes.

Purposes for Robot Data Collection:

Primary Purposes:
  • To ensure the safety of robot navigation and operations
  • To protect robots from theft, vandalism, and damage
  • To provide evidence for liability protection in case of accidents or incidents 
  • To comply with regulatory requirements for autonomous vehicle operations 
  • To develop improved navigation and safety systems 
  • To create and maintain urban mapping and infrastructure data To contribute to research autonomous vehicle safety and urban mobility
  • To develop aggregate insights about delivery patterns and urban logistics
Secondary Purposes:
  • To share marketing and analytics data with authorized third-parties
  • To train artificial intelligence agents and models
  • To report on urban planning research, traffic optimization studies, and human movement modeling for various applications

Law Enforcement and Legal Compliance:

Important Notice: Information collected by our delivery robots, including video and audio recordings, may be subject to subpoenas, court orders, or other lawful requests from law enforcement agencies or government authorities. Serve Robotics will comply with any lawful requirement to provide such information when properly requested through legal process. This may include:
  • Video footage of incidents, accidents, or criminal activity
  • Audio recordings relevant to investigations
  • Location and timestamp data from robot operations
  • Environmental sensor data that may be relevant to legal proceedings
We will only provide such information in response to valid legal process and will take reasonable steps to notify affected individuals when legally permitted to do so.

Data Retention:

Robot-collected data retention periods are determined by:
  • The need to defend claims and similar records management requirements
  • Legal and regulatory requirements
  • Contractual obligations with our delivery partners

4. How We Share Information

We may share your information in the following circumstances:

Service Providers and Vendors

With third-party vendors who assist us with:
  • Website hosting and technical operations
  • Analytics and research services

  • Cloud storage and data processing

Business Transfers

In connection with any sale, transfer, or financing of our business or assets, including bankruptcy proceedings.

State Privacy Rights

If you are a resident of certain states, you may have specific privacy rights under state law. Note that these apply solely to the collection of information set out below in relation to the categories of information that Serve Robotics collects, and not with respect to (a) information collection undertaken on behalf of Serve Robotics’ clients, or (b) in respect to information collected in public spaces.

California Residents (CCPA/CPRA)

California Data Access and Deletion Rights
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (“CCPA”) as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (“CPRA”) allows you to make certain requests about your personal information. Specifically, you may request that we:
  • Inform you about the categories of personal information we collect or disclose about you; the categories of sources of such information; the business or commercial purpose for collecting your personal information; and the categories of third-parties with whom we share/disclose personal information
  • Provide access to and/or a copy of certain personal information we hold about you
  • Delete certain personal information we have about you
  • Correct inaccurate personal information we have about you
  • Provide information about any financial incentives that we offer to you, if any
  • Opt-out of the sale or sharing of your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising
  • Limit the use and disclosure of your sensitive personal information
Please note that certain information may be exempt from such requests under California law. For example, we need certain information to provide our services to you.

Verification Process

Depending on the sensitivity of the information you are requesting and the type of request you are making, we will take reasonable steps to verify your identity based on the information that we currently possess. This may include, at a minimum, verifying your contact information and matching it with our records.

Authorized Agent

You are also permitted to designate an authorized agent to submit certain requests on your behalf. In order for an authorized agent to be verified, you must provide the authorized agent with signed, written permission to make such requests or a power of attorney. We may also follow up with you to verify your identity before processing the authorized agent’s request.

Non-Discrimination

The CCPA further provides you with the right not to be discriminated against (as provided for by applicable law) for exercising your access or deletion rights.

California “Shine the Light” Disclosure

If you are a California resident, you have the right to request information from Serve Robotics regarding the manner in which Serve Robotics shares certain categories of your personal information with third-parties for the
third-parties’ direct marketing purposes. We do not share personal information with third parties for their direct marketing purposes.

Other State Residents

If you are a resident of Florida, Illinois, Georgia, or Texas, you may have similar rights under your state’s privacy laws. If we receive a request from you, we will honor your individual privacy rights accorded under those laws.

Verification Process

To protect your privacy, we will verify your identity before responding to requests. This may include:
  • Verifying contact information against our records
  • Requesting additional identifying information for sensitive requests
  • Enhanced verification for requests involving robot-collected data
Authorized Agents: You may designate an authorized agent to submit requests on your behalf with proper written authorization or power of attorney.
Response Timeline: We will respond to your request within 30 days (45 days for complex requests), assuming you have verified your identity or provided proper authorization, and will notify you if we need additional time.

We use cookies, web beacons, and similar technologies to:
  • Operate and improve our website
  • Analyze website usage and performance
  • Provide personalized content and advertising
  • Measure the effectiveness of our communications

  • Persistent Cookies: Remain on your device until they expire or are deleted

Web Beacons in Email: We place web beacons in our emails to help measure email campaign effectiveness by identifying when emails are opened, forwarded, or when links are clicked.

Online Advertising

We may use your information for interest-based advertising on other websites and applications. You can opt-out of participating advertising networks at:

Do Not Track: We do not currently honor “do not track” signals from website browsers.

Australian Privacy Addendum

Supplement to the Serve Robotics Privacy Notice
Effective date: September 2026
1. About this Addendum
This Australian Privacy Addendum (Addendum) supplements, and forms part of, the Serve Robotics Privacy Notice (Privacy Notice). It applies to personal information that Serve Robotics, Inc. and its related bodies corporate (Serve Robotics, we, us or our) collect, hold, use or disclose in connection with our operations in Australia, including the operation of our autonomous sidewalk delivery robots (Robots) and our website.
To the extent of any inconsistency between the Privacy Notice and this Addendum in relation to personal information of individuals in Australia, this Addendum prevails. Capitalised terms used but not defined in this Addendum have the meaning given to them in the Privacy Notice.
In Australia, we handle personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) (Privacy Act) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). "Personal information" has the meaning given to it in the Privacy Act.
2. Kinds of personal information we collect
The kinds of personal information we collect and hold in connection with our Australian operations are described in the Privacy Notice and include, in summary:
  • contact and identification details (such as name, delivery address, email address and phone number) that we receive from our delivery partner in order to complete a delivery;
  • order and delivery information (such as merchant address, delivery address, order details and geolocation associated with a delivery);
  • website, device and analytics data collected when you interact with our website (such as IP address, device identifiers, browser information and usage data);
  • recruitment information you provide (or that is provided by third parties, such as background check providers) if you apply for a role with us; and
  • images, audio and sensor data captured by our Robots as they operate on public footpaths and other public places (see section 3 below).
  • Some of the personal information we collect may be "sensitive information" (as defined in the Privacy Act) if you apply for a role with us, we may collect health information (where required by law) and information about your racial or ethnic origin, but only where you consent to the collection and the information is reasonably necessary for our recruitment functions. We do not collect categories of sensitive information that are specific to United States law and not relevant to our Australian operations (such as veteran status) from Australian-based applicants. We do not collect sensitive information through the incidental operation of our Robots (including through the use of facial recognition, biometric identification or similar technologies). We will not use or disclose sensitive information for a purpose other than the purpose for which it was collected, unless you consent or we are otherwise permitted to do so under the Privacy Act.
3. Video, audio and sensor data collected by our Robots in public places
Our Robots are fitted with cameras, microphones and sensors. These cameras and sensors continuously record or otherwise monitor their surroundings while they are operating. In contrast, our Robots' microphones intermittently record the surroundings only when triggered by particular events for the purposes of safety. This is necessary for our Robots to navigate safely, avoid obstacles, comply with road and traffic rules, protect the Robots and the goods they carry from theft, vandalism and damage, and produce evidence in the event of an accident, incident or dispute.
In the ordinary course of operation, our Robots will incidentally record images and audio of members of the public in public spaces on the basis described above.
We do not seek to identify individuals from that footage, we do not use facial recognition or biometric identification technology, and we do not use the footage for advertising or marketing to individuals. However, images or audio of an identified or reasonably identifiable individual may still be "personal information" under the Privacy Act, and where that is the case we handle it in accordance with the APPs and this Addendum.
Each Robot carries clear, visible notices (including a QR code linking to the Privacy Notice and this Addendum) so that members of the public are made aware that recording is taking place and can access information about our privacy practices. If you believe you have been recorded and would like to make a request or complaint in relation to that recording, please contact us using the details in section 11.
State and territory surveillance device, listening device and workplace surveillance laws may also apply to the operation of our Robots. We have separate operational measures in place to address those requirements and they are not the subject of this Addendum.
4. Purposes for which we collect, hold, use and disclose personal information
We collect, hold, use and disclose personal information for the purposes described in the Privacy Notice. In Australia, those purposes include:
  • providing our autonomous delivery services to and on behalf of our delivery partner;
  • operating, monitoring, securing and improving our Robots, our fleet management platform and our website;
  • developing, training, testing and improving our proprietary autonomous navigation, mapping, obstacle avoidance and safety systems;
  • safety, security, incident investigation, liability protection and dispute resolution;
  • recruitment and employment;
  • responding to enquiries, complaints and requests to exercise privacy rights; and
  • complying with our legal obligations, including responding to lawful requests from law enforcement, courts and regulators.
If we propose to use or disclose personal information for a purpose other than the purpose for which it was collected, we will do so only where permitted by the Privacy Act (for example, where the secondary purpose is related to the primary purpose and within your reasonable expectations, or where you have consented).
5. Direct marketing
We may from time to time use or disclose your personal information (other than sensitive information) for the purpose of direct marketing where you would reasonably expect us to use or disclose the information for that purpose, or where you have consented to receiving direct marketing communications from us. We will not use or disclose sensitive information for the purpose of direct marketing without your express consent. In each direct marketing communication, we will provide you with a simple means by which you may opt out of receiving further direct marketing communications from us. If you opt out, we will give effect to your request within a reasonable period. You may also contact us at any time using the details in section 11 to request that we stop using or disclosing your personal information for direct marketing purposes. For the avoidance of doubt, images, audio and sensor data incidentally captured by our Robots in public places are not used for direct marketing to individuals.
6. Disclosure of personal information to overseas recipients
Serve Robotics is based in the United States and personal information collected in Australia will be transferred to, stored and processed in the United States. In addition, we are likely to disclose personal information to service providers and members of our corporate group located in the following countries:
  • Mexico;
  • the Philippines; and
  • Colombia.
These recipients support our fleet operations, teleoperations, customer and delivery-partner support, engineering and back-office functions. Before disclosing personal information to an overseas recipient, we take steps that are reasonable in the circumstances to ensure that the overseas recipient does not breach the APPs in relation to the information, including by putting in place contractual protections that require the recipient to handle personal information consistently with the APPs.
7. Automated decision-making
Our Robots use automated systems to make operational navigation decisions, including route following, obstacle detection, stopping and yielding. Human personnel remotely supervise Robot operations and may intervene when necessary.
These automated decisions are directed at safe navigation of the Robot and are not used to make decisions about individuals (for example, they are not used to profile members of the public, to accept or refuse service to a particular person, or to price or allocate deliveries between customers). Where a Robot's automated systems make a decision that could significantly affect an individual (for example, an interaction with a pedestrian that results in an incident), the personal information used in that decision is limited to the sensor, image, audio and location data described in section 3.

8. Use of artificial intelligence
We use artificial intelligence systems in connection with personal information in Australia to provide our services, for example, our Robots use our own proprietary autonomous navigation system, for the purposes described in sections 3, 4 and 6. To the extent these systems generate or infer information about an identified or reasonably identifiable individual, we will handle that information in accordance with the Privacy Act, the APPs and this Addendum.
9. Delivery partner in Australia
At launch in Australia, our sole delivery partner is DoorDash. When you place an order through DoorDash that is fulfilled by one of our Robots, DoorDash is the entity that collects your order and delivery information from you and determines how it is used. In that context, we act as a service provider to DoorDash and handle your personal information only in accordance with our contract with DoorDash and applicable law.
For privacy queries or requests relating to your DoorDash order or account, please contact DoorDash directly. We will assist DoorDash in responding to any request that relates to personal information we hold on its behalf.
10. Data quality, security, retention and data breaches
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information we hold from misuse, interference and loss and from unauthorised access, modification or disclosure, including through the technical, organisational and administrative measures described in the Privacy Notice. We take reasonable steps to ensure that personal information we collect is accurate, up-to-date and complete, and that personal information we use or disclose is, having regard to the purpose of the use or disclosure, accurate, up-to-date, complete and relevant.
We retain personal information only for as long as we reasonably need it for the purposes described in the Privacy Notice and this Addendum, or for as long as required by law. When we no longer need personal information, we take reasonable steps to destroy or de-identify it in accordance with the APPs.
We comply with the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme in Part IIIC of the Privacy Act. If we suffer an eligible data breach that is likely to result in serious harm to affected individuals, we will notify those individuals and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) as required by law.
11. Your rights, access, correction and complaints
You may request access to, or correction of, personal information that we hold about you. You may also make a complaint about the way we have handled your personal information. To make a request or complaint, please contact us using the following details:

We will acknowledge your request or complaint within a reasonable time and aim to respond substantively within 30 days. We may need to verify your identity, or ask you for further information, before we can act on your request. There is no charge for making a request, although we may charge a reasonable fee for giving access to personal information where permitted by law.

12. Anonymity and pseudonymity
Where it is lawful and practicable to do so, you have the option of not identifying yourself, or of using a pseudonym, when dealing with us. In many cases (for example, when placing a delivery order or applying for a role with us) it will not be practicable for us to deal with you on an anonymous or pseudonymous basis.
13. Changes to this Addendum
We may update this Addendum from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or in the law. The current version will always be available at the same location as the Privacy Notice. Material changes will be highlighted through the effective date shown at the top of this Addendum and, where appropriate, additional notice on our website.

International Personal Data Transfers

Your personal information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your country of residence. We implement appropriate safeguards to protect your information during such transfers, including contractual protections and security measures.

Third-Party Links

Our website may contain links to external websites not owned or controlled by Serve Robotics. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these external sites. Please review their privacy policies when visiting third-party websites.

Changes to This Privacy Notice

We may update this Privacy Notice periodically to reflect changes in our practices or applicable law. We will update the “Last Updated” date and, for material changes, may provide additional notice through our website or email communications. As long as you interact with us, you are agreeing to this Privacy Notice and any updates we make to it.
